Class B412 - 103 Hospital (15/06/2023)

On June 15, 2023, class B412 for caregivers under the AVANT program took place at 103 Hospital with the attendance of caregivers of stroke patients.

Joining the training program, the attendants will be given a free booklet Essential Exercises for Neurorehabilitation after Stroke and a video demonstrating the how-to. In a half-day of the training program, doctors and therapists will instruct the caregivers how to use the booklet and the video, helping them to take good care and assist stroke patients to practice rehabilitation exercises at home. Ultimately, well-trained caretakers will aid with accelerating the recovery process of stroke patients, in order for for them to regain their physical independence at the fatest pace.

Class B for caregivers is held weekly in several hospitals and healthcare centers across the country, helping to spread standardized knowledge about post-stroke rehabilitation widely and deeply in the community. The class is free of charge and welcomes all caregivers who see the needs.

AVANT is a cooperative training program between Vietnam and Austria to standardize and systemize neurorehabilitation practice in Vietnam. Under this program, doctors and therapists are trained in the theories and practice of stroke care and after stroke neurorehabilitation. The program also targets caregivers of stroke patients. After being trained as part of the AVANT program, caregivers can assist stroke patients in practicing neurorehabilitation exercises at home. The content of the program is officially approved by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. Experts in the field of Stroke and Rehabilitation from Vietnam and the Republic of Austria have jointly designed, developed and implemented the AVANT program - Neurological Rehabilitation Program after Stroke, for the benefit benefits of stroke patients and their families, reducing the burden on society as a whole.
