Introduction

AVANT is a cooperative training program between Vietnam and Austria to standardize and systemize neurorehabilitation practice in Vietnam. Under this program, doctors and therapists are trained in the theories and practice of stroke care and after stroke neurorehabilitation. The program also targets caregivers of stroke patients. After being trained as part of the AVANT program, caregivers can assist stroke patients in practicing neurorehabilitation exercises at home. The content of the program is officially approved by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. Experts in the field of Stroke and Rehabilitation from Vietnam and the Republic of Austria have jointly designed, developed and implemented the AVANT program - Neurological Rehabilitation Program after Stroke, for the benefit benefits of stroke patients and their families, reducing the burden on society as a whole.
